I’ve been having terrible allergy problems lately. I knew I had severe dust mite allergy, but I didn’t know it could affect me this much. I couldn’t function properly, and I wasn’t myself anymore!
My allergy seems to have gotten worse. I think it’s because of the climate here in Thailand, and also because a lot of things here are just unclean. That’s why I’ve decided to take an antihistamine. I’m going to take a loratadine 10 mg tablet every morning, and see how it goes.
Allergies are becoming more and more widespread, experts are already calling it an epidemic. This site has some interesting allergy statistics that might shock you, like that allergy is expected to affect more than 50% of all Europeans in 10 years’ time.
Updates:
- The loratadine tablets didn’t do it for me, even at double dose, so now, I’m taking a cetirizine 10 mg tablet every morning. It seems to be working better for me than loratadine, so I will continue taking it, even though it still doesn’t take all my allergy discomforts away.
- I’ve found some really cheap cetirizine 10 mg tablets, called Cetrizin T.O., at my local pharmacy. Only 20 baht per strip!
- I’m never going to take cetirizine again! I took it for a long time and had some really nasty side effects. I wasn’t myself anymore!
- I’m not taking antihistamines anymore. I’ve bought anti-allergy bedding, and a new fan because the air cooler was garbage. I think I should be alright now.
- Before, I was living on the second floor, and my allergy was really bad, now on the fifth floor, and it’s alright now. They have two small lifts here, lol, thank god. And, although I don’t like heights, it seems to have made a difference here, at this location, in a city called Bangkok, where everything is just dirty. I was once living in another building at the fourth floor, and they didn’t even have a lift, and the building moved at night, and I was having my allergies really bad. It was really not ok.
